What currencies do you exchange?
We exchange major currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, and MXN. Other currencies may be available upon request.
Can I order foreign currency in advance?
Yes, you can pre-order major currencies. Large orders may require a deposit or draft payment. Please contact us in advance to confirm availability and rates.
Do you buy and sell precious metal coins?
Yes, we buy and sell popular Canadian coins such as Gold and Silver Maple Leafs. Prices are based on the current spot market rate.
Can I book a rate in advance for precious metals?
Vanco Exchange uses live pricing. Advanced bookings are not available due to market volatility. Final price is set at the time of purchase.
Why is it necessary to provide identification?
As a regulated service, we must verify client identity under FINTRAC regulations to ensure compliance with AML and CTF rules.
Do I need to provide ID for transactions?
Yes, if exchanging banknotes or precious metals ≥ $2,000 CAD, a government-issued photo ID (non-expired) is required.
Does Vanco Exchange have service fees on top of rates?
No. There are no extra service fees on top of posted exchange rates. Our rates are updated daily and are very competitive.
Does Vanco Exchange accept credit cards?
No. Payment methods accepted: cash or bank draft payable to Vanco Exchange.
Does Vanco Exchange cash traveller's cheques?
No. Traveller’s cheques of any currency are not accepted.
Does Vanco Exchange buy or sell foreign coins?
No, except for GBP and EUR 1 and 2 coins, depending on inventory.
